Lime Pointing

What will be covered? Green Jobs and heritage building skills, preparation of wall and removal of old pointing, theory of mixing, The Lime Cycle, use of tools, application of lime pointing, battering back, filling gaps, finishing
This three day course, delivered by the School of Natural Building (SNaB), is suitable for any experience level; beginners with no prior experience or anyone who would like to gain further practice of their existing skill. Learning will include removal of old pointing and wall preparation, understanding the lime cycle, mixing lime safely, application and finishing.
Some of the work will be physically demanding so participants will need to have a good level of fitness to undertake this course.
All tools, materials, safety equipment* and refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.
*Participants will need to wear their own sturdy boots for safety.
